Family Fun: S'more Stories - and Crafts!

It’s getting dark earlier… perfect for stories and snuggles under a blanket, or if you’re feeling brave… slight scares around a campfire! Starting tonight, throughout the month of October, check our website for new storytimes with Miss Alyisha! These gently creepy fall stories are perfect for preschool and early elementary aged children. You can find the links to these videos at our Kids' homepage to hear about ghosts, mummies, and more! 

TEENS: Banned Book Week

Banned Books Week (September 27 - October 3, 2020) is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. It spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools. It brings together the entire book community — librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.
