This entry in our Master Class series is a book reading with author and Stonehill College adjunct professor, Kerri Mullen. Ms. Mullen, a former resident of Easton, recently published a children's picture book featuring a gender non-conforming character. Eli’s New Clothes was inspired by raising her transgender son and the belief that every child should have the opportunity to relate to a literary character. Originally presented on Thursday, December 3, 2020.

In each episode of this series, Head of Youth Services Jessica Block recommends great books for you to try (plus some bonus titles!). Different episodes will focus on one interest level or age group, so if you don't hear about something "just right" for your reader, check back! We'll cover books for babies and toddlers straight through middle school. And of course, they are all available here in the Children's Room at the Ames Free Library.
Community Forum is hosted by Priscilla Almquist-Olsen. This episode features Ames Free Library Executive Director Uma Hiremath.
