Youth Summer Reading Program 2020: Mug Cake Tuesday STEM Activity

For kids and families! Join Miss Jess on Zoom every Tuesday at 2 p.m. for some creative, hands-on summer STEM activities.

Today we're making mug cakes with Miss Jess!

Have you tried mug cakes yet? They’re so easy, kids can make them!* They’re quick to mix together, quick to cook, and quick to eat…yummmm. We’ll try out a few varieties - cinnamon coffee cake, chocolate cake, and a vanilla cake (sprinkles optional!). Mug cakes cook in a microwave, so you’ll want to have three separate microwavable mugs (or small bowls) handy. You’ll be emailed the specific ingredient list after registration.

*Parents, do plan to to stand by in case of kitchen mishaps!

If you participate in this program, you can enter the code CAKES on your READSquared dashboard to earn a program badge! (For more information on READSquared, visit our Youth Summer Reading Program 2020 page.)
