"Where the Community Connects"

Kate Klise Returns to the Ames Free Library!

Beloved Author Kate Klise returns to us this August to offer up a unique series of writing workshops called Once Upon A Workshop... Aspiring writers and entrepreneurs should mark your calendars now!

“I am convinced that finding and telling a company’s story with clear language and clean sentences is the way to connect with investors, strategic partners, the media, and customers.”

Bank of England staffers are studying Dr. Seuss books to improve their writing skills. Author-in-residence KATE KLISE will be doing something similar. Kate will help innovative entrepreneurs and business owners find and tell their business plans by writing simple children’s books!

Kate's workshops will be held each Tuesday in August from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm in the 1st Floor Presentaton Commons of the Queset House, 51 Main Street.

This not-to-be-missed opportunity is free and open to all. Weekly attendance not required. Drop-ins are welcome. Kate sends out a special invitation to women entrepreneurs.

Kate Klise has written 30 books and led writing workshops for aspiring authors of all ages and levels. She enjoys sharing her tips and tricks of the trade. She will also be available to help anyone trying to start or finish a writing project, including high school seniors working on their college essays.
