Family Fun: Pop Up Cards

Mother’s Day is right around the corner (psst! It’s this Sunday, May 10!). If there is ever a time for a homemade card for someone who helps keep your household together, it is now! Or maybe you’re looking for a fun way to brighten someone’s day, or something different to mail to a loved one you haven’t been able to see for a while.

This fun Pop Up Card tutorial can guide you through making a very impressive looking homemade card for that special someone. Making a pop up cards requires a lot of steps, but as long as you follow them closely, they’re all fairly simple. There are instructions for a few different types; you can’t go wrong with a heart, and these simple baby chicks are adorable (use your imagination – could you create a different animal with the same technique?), or maybe you want to send a springtime flower!

All you need is some paper (different colors for the best result), glue, and scissors (plus some parental support!), and you are all set to craft for the day!

Note that the creator of this website is British. You can substitute letter sized paper - 8 ½ x 11 inches - for A6.
