Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale
The Friends of the Ames Free Library Spring Book Sale will be held on Saturday, May 17th from 10:00am – 2:00pm (9:30am admission for members) at Queset House, 51 Main Street, North Easton (behind the library – use the right side of the driveway). Most books will be half off our regular low prices, with better and specialty books priced as marked. For more information, please visit this page.
SHAW'S GIVE BACK BAG PROGRAM
The Friends of the Ames Free Library has been chosen by our local Shaw's for their May 2025 GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program. The Friends will receive a $1 donation for every $3 GIVE BACK bag shoppers purchase at Shaw's (690 Depot Street in North Easton) for the entire month of May. All donations will be used to fund library activities and programs. We appreciate your support!
The Friends Book Shop is a hidden gem!
Located in Queset House (51 Main Street, North Easton - take the right-hand driveway when arriving at the Library), it offers a huge collection of gently used books to suit any interest for both adults and children. The Friends Book Shop is open during Queset House's normal hours of operation: 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday and Saturday.
Purchases are made on the honor system. Payment may be placed in the brown drop box. We thank you!

Donations
Every Saturday, during Queset House's regular operating hours of 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we welcome donations of gently used books in excellent condition at the Book Shop. Sales of high-quality books help us support the library.
Books in poor condition will not be accepted. Please note our criteria:

Due to space limitations, donations are limited to no more than 25 books per donor

No dust, mold, stained or torn pages, or notes in the margins. If you wouldn’t buy it, please don’t donate it!

No textbooks, magazines, encyclopedias, dictionaries, or CDs

Never leave books outside the building
