"Take one photographer who may or may not be telling the truth about her whole life and mix it with the need for her to fit in with a family she wishes to be a part of and that is the premise of this novel. Her way into their life starts off initially by being the family photographer, but it ultimately turns into more. This novel was a fast read and although the premise was great, it seemed familiar to other books of the same genre. I wanted it to be better than it actually was. It was enjoyable though and unpredictable and would make a great beach read."

Alexi Pappas is motivating without being preachy and while her outlook is positive, it's not unrealistic and doesn't ignore hardship and pain. I found several things that resonated from a parenting standpoint (even though this isn't a book about parenting); particularly in regards to letting kids try and fail and learn. An inspiring book. Worth reading if you're interested in running, or overcoming a parent's suicide, or cultivating a braver outlook on life."

"I saw this book on the school summer reading list. Though I’m well past my school years, the topic sounded very adult (death in the family, grief) so I figured I’d give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I related to the teenage strife and it brought me back to my high school days. I really felt for the characters. I was happy with the ending and wanted more! A quick, engaging read."

"This was a light-hearted and humorous romance book that truly lives up to its name. Emily Henry conjured up such an utterly enjoyable read, I adored the story, the characters, and the setting. The small-town setting of North Bear Shores reminded me of the cottages down the Cape! Not so much an enemies-to-lovers trope but more of a competitors-to-lovers trope where they're both basically pinning for one another. I like how Henry has written in the complexity (dare I say messiness) of January and Gus' relationship between themselves and with others; perfect people/relationships don't exist, and I'm a firm believer that books (even fictional ones!) should reflect that."
